This is so incredibly exciting. And moving. And emotional. I’m just a bundle of positive energy right now and can’t seem to form coherent thoughts – so I’m gong to let the ceremonies speak for themselves. You can watch all three weddings performed to be the first of any same-sex marriages in Washington, D.C., thanks to HRC, which hosted the couples’ weddings. Get the tissues ready and watch the video after the jump!
Pam’s House Blend has more details about the three couples:

A Boulder Catholic school has garnered itself national attention after the Archdiocese refused to re-admit a preschooler who has lesbian parents on Friday, when concerned teachers from the school turned to 9News to express their disgust.
Boulder’s Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School refused to re-admit a preschooler because the child has lesbian parents, whose relationship is “in disaccord [sic] with Catholic teachings,” the Archdiocese told 9News.
Boulder Pride has organized community forums and action plans to help concerned residents better express their frustration. Although Boulder Pride has discouraged demonstrations outside the [Keep reading...]

When the first Sassy Gay Friend video came out, I wondered what other Shakespearean classics would benefit from a Sassy Gay Friend. Well, the lovely folks at The Second City Network have answered that question for me! Here, enjoy the latest installment: Romeo and Juliet! Watch the video after the jump.

Legendary Denver restaurant critic and author Gabby Gormet (aka Pat Miller) is joining the line up of OFC columnists with the debut of her column “Dining” in this weeks issue!
I’ve knows Gabby for years (I won’t say how many) but I remember when she would come into a restaurant I worked at called Duesenberg – if anyone remembers that restaurant it was the “it” spot in its day.
Gabby knows her food. She knows her restaurants and I love her because she’s calls it like it is – she’s real [Keep reading...]

Named one of the 10 “Top Musicinas to Watch in 2010″ by the NY Post, Kimberly Caldwell who you might remember from season two of American Idol.
She looks hot and the single is definitely rocks and she still has the pipes – it’s worth the wait.
Caldwell will make her national deubt appearance performing the first single “Mess of You,” from her upcoming album “Without Regret” today on “The Ellen Show.”
Entertainment Weekly said, “It’s taken Season 2’s husky-voiced finalist almost [Keep reading...]

OK. Raise your hand if you’re not surprised.
After being arrested for driving under the influence, allegedly leaving a Sacramento gay club last week, California State Sen. Roy Ashburn has admitted that he is, in fact, gay. This morning, Ashburn came out on conservative radio host Inga Barks’ show on KERN in Sacramento.
“I’m gay,” Ashburn said on the air. “Those are the words that have been so difficult for me for so long.”
Which would be awesome (except that whole DUI thing) in terms of yay-another-gay-conservative-for-The-Cause, except that Ashburn’s voting record [Keep reading...]

Well, the timing on this is a bit peculiar… The Associated Press reported on Friday:
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – A federal magistrate is ordering several gay rights groups that campaigned against California’s 2008 same-sex marriage ban to furnish some internal memos and e-mails to lawyers for the measure’s sponsors.
U.S. Magistrate Joseph Spero issued the order Friday as part of the first federal trial to examine if the U.S. Constitution prohibits states from outlawing gay marriages.
Spero says Equality California, Californians Against Eliminating Basic Rights, an ACLU campaign committee and an umbrella group that oversaw the campaign against the ban must hand over [Keep reading...]

As we reported last week, a preschool student at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School in Boulder will not be readmitted next year – because the child has two mothers. The child’s parents’ orientation is “in conflict” with Catholic teaching and doctrine, which technically, as a private parochial school, does give the school the right to discriminate. But it’s nowhere near fair, and concerned citizens have a right (and responsibility, in my opinion) to voice their dissenting opinions.
Boulder Pride has created an action plan, following an open forum for those concerned last week. That action plan, [Keep reading...]

Like Europeans, gay people are a perplexing dichotomy when it comes to health.
Gay people can count calories and carbs as if they’re balancing a checkbook, with decimal-point accuracy. They constitute between a third and half of the male population in athletic clubs in the city. They are sure to treat their hair and skin to copious amounts of Aloe and Vitamin E until “nature’s balance” reaches near-toxic concentrations, and gay people can tell you fascinating facts about the unique benefits of different protein supplements to take before, during, and after [Keep reading...]
